-
-====== Learning about individuals to better understand the group’s needs and expectations, adapt facilitation and prepare future trips   ======
-
-===== Individual interviews =====
-
-
-**For participants :**
-As thriling and inspiring the collective Heterotopia Tour can be, it can sometimes get hectic, intense and emotionnally overwelming for some participants. An individual interview can represent a chance for each individual to get away from the collective bustle, relax for a while, listen to oneself and feel fully heard.
-
-The interview tool is about creating an individual space within the collective trip, in which all participants have the opportunity to get away from the group, to look inwards, tell their own stories, remember their initial motivations to participate to the trip and put it in perspective with the reality they are living.\\
-It’s a good way to stop for a while and question ourself about the moment in our life in which this trip occurs, and which key elements brought us there.
-
-It’s a moment in which some people will feel the need of expressing their emotions, their satisfaction but also their fears, problems or challenges encountered during the trip. Sometimes some of them might also share very personnal informations about their life and past experiences, be ready to benevolently welcome them and listen in a non-judgmental way.
-
-Allowing an individual time for each participant might actually help some of them to get more involved within the group : this « ‘you’ time » creates a space in which any  kind of existing discomfort or frustration can be expressed and should be welcome by the person interviewing. Once shared with someone else of the group, the discomfort might ease up, a solution to the problem expressed might be found between the participant and the interviewer. The participant might return to the group relieved and experiment the following collective processes  in a more comfortable way.\\
-Make sure the person conducting the interview is willing to listen and help participants get any  uneasy feeling out of their chest.
-
-Last but not least, the interview might be the opportunity for some people to voice their impressions about the way the trip is going or formulate pieces of advice. Collecting them and then sharing and analyzing them with the organizing team is crucial for  the ongoing trip as well as the future ones.
-
-**To adapt facilitation during the trip**
-The interview is the opportunity for the facilitating team to understand what are the participants profiles, to hear about the way they’re experiencing the trip, what they feel at ease with and inspired by, and what they’re challenged by.\\
-To a certain extend, it allows the team to adapt animating and facilitating methods, according to personnalities and sensitivites, for the trip to be as inclusive as possible.\\
-
-**To organize the next Heterotopian tour**
-The interview is a huge source of informations to understand better the motivations and expectations of people who decide to be part of the Heterotopian tour. It also allows to link each person’s behavior and participation within the group with their “profile” and design future projects so that they are even more inclusive.
-
-In order to establish a climate of trust that will allow the person to share his thoughts and feelings :
-Step aside from the group, make sure the interview is experienced as a private moment.
-Explain to the person what are the objectives of the interview.\\
-Do not record the talk, prefer taking notes, after asking permission to the person interviewed.
-
-**Define the objectives and the way you want to conduct the interview**
-Objectives and questions could be :
-  * Understanding profiles: age, origin, family background, mobility, studies, work experiences, lifestyles, major life milestones, collective experience etc.
-  * Understanding motivations : 3 life elements that led/brought you to the trip.
-  * Inviting to share feelings and thoughts regarding the trip. What you’ll remember of the trip ? 3 elements you appreciate/ 3 elements you would have changed.
-  * How do you feel about  your participation in the collective decision processes ?
-
-===== Radar of skills and competences : before, during and after the trip =====
-
-Another personnal questionning tool that can be used is the radar of skills and competences. Ask participants to take 15 minutes before the trip starts, to examinate what their expectations in terms of skills and competences development are.
-
-What kind of skills do you expect to learn or improve during the Heterotopia Tour?
-Identify which skills you'd like to learn or improve and set an indicator for each of the skills:
-example: I really expect to learn about some ecoconsruction technics during the trip, I set an indicator of 7 out of 10, corresponding to my expectations in terms of learning  about those technics. I would  also like to improve my english speaking skills, but my expectations are lower than for eco-construction: I set an indicator of 5 out of 10
-
-Exemple de radar de compétences:
-
-{{contributions:radar.png?200 |}}
-
-The objective of this tool is to ask participants the same question at the very beginning, and at the end of the trip to evaluate how well the journey responds to the participants expectations.
-
-
-**For facilitators :**
-If you find the time and you’re eager to readapt the trip on the go, it might be interesting to do a mid-term assessment and see how well the trip responds to the participants expectations. Even though it is very challenging to modify the content of the trip, it might be possible to some extend to adapt the animation and facilitation :  to focus more either on theory or practice depending on the participants expectations could be a good one, for example.
-
-**Pour les organisateurs :**
-Adapter les prochains voyages :équilibre entre les objectifs de l’équipe organisatrice (que cherche-t-on à atteindre avec un  Voyage En Heterotopies) ? et les attentes des participants.
-
-===== Projection avant et après le voyage : =====
-
-How do you project yourself? (in terms of personal/professional project, collective project, engagement, skills acquirement, mobility or any other subject that matters to you)
-…in the short term?\\
-…in the mid term?\\
-…in the long term ?\\
-
-If there are any changes between your projection before the trip and now, which were the triggering element(s) from your trip experience?
-
-
-**Pour les organisateurs :**
-Le voyage est-il transformateur ?
